DELL VISUALIZATION SERVERS

SERC has installed two high end visualizations servers for pre and post data processing needs of the HPC users. These machines are specifically meant to help users process data that would potentially be used or generated on the SahasraT supercomputer. The machines have high RAM with 16 cores to enable this. These systems also mount the /mnt/lustre parallel file system that is available only on SahasraT for easy data access. Most commonly used software for data processing have been made available on these systems. Since the machines have multi-core processing capabilities, users can also run small (upto 8-16 cores) parallel runs for data processing.
