Upcoming Usage Charges

NOTE:- Revised usage charges will come into effect on August 1, 2026..

Charges for usage will be based on:

High Priority Queues:

These queues have higher priority than the regular queues. The details of the queues are given in the High Priority Queues page.

The charges for using these high-priority queues are as follows:
  • Charges for CPU (for Param Pravega CPU system) usage: Rs. 1.50 per CPU core hour.
  • Charges for GPU (for Param Pravega CPU system) usage: Rs. 100 per GPU hour.

To obtain access to these high-priority queues, users  are requested to fill the pdf form available below and send scanned pdf form of the same to nisadmin.serc@iisc.ac.in->Form

Before filling form users must have Param Pravega access. 

 

Regular Queues :

Regular queues are provided by default to users who have access to the Param Pravega system.

Charges for usage will be based on annual usage according to various slabs as follows. The slabs correspond to usage by a faculty’s group / lab in a year:

  • CPU (applicable for Param Pravega CPU and Roddam Narasimha CPU systems)
    • 5 paise per core hour for annual usage up to 20 million core hours.
    • 2 paise per core hour for annual usage > 20 million core hours.
      • Clarification: For a user group with annual usage of 25 million core hours, the charges will be (5p x 20 million core hours + 2p x 5 million core hours).
  • GPU (applicable for Param Pravega GPU, NVIDIA DGX-1, NVIDIA DGX-H100, Roddam Narasimha GPU systems)
    • Rs. 9 per card hour.
