SERC has installed two high end visualizations servers for pre and post data processing needs of the HPC users. These machines are specifically meant to help users process data that would potentially be used or generated on the SahasraT supercomputer. The machines have high RAM with 16 cores to enable this. These systems also mount the /mnt/lustre parallel file system that is available only on SahasraT for easy data access. Most commonly used software for data processing have been made available on these systems. Since the machines have multi-core processing capabilities, users can also run small (upto 8-16 cores) parallel runs for data processing.

  • Dual Intel Xeon processor E5-2630 v3 (16 core, 20MB Cache)
  • 2.4 GHz Clock Speed Turbo
  • Two 500GB SATA Hard Drives
  • 256 GB RAM
  • NVIDIA Quadro K2200 graphics card
    • 640 cudacores
    • 4 GB of GDDR5 GPU memory 128-bit with fast band-width of 80GB/s
    • Hardware support for OpenGL Libraries
    • Display Port 1.2 support for ultra-high resolutions up to 4096×2160 @ 60 Hz with 30-bit color
